Mimo & Co began in 1965 in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos. Noemí started making rag dolls in her house while taking care of her oldest daughter. As time went by, the first small manual production workshop was established, later incorporating more staff and new machines as the demand grew.

Halfway through the fifties, the company being well established and soundly positioned in the doll market, Mimo & Co designed its first dress. Thus, the company began its expansion to a new area: children’s clothing manufacturing. Naive patterns and bright colors, along with the adopted European cut, made of these garments a distinctive product of the time.

Noemí and her family moved to Buenos Aires in 1979. Once in this city and after a tough adaptation period, Mimo took part in the first children’s clothes manufacturer’s show, which entailed a big step towards its expansion in the market.
